Ro is enjoying his summer holiday, spending most of it in the pool. He did take a break yesterday to hit the beach with Jack, playing on their boogie boards and coming out of the water every so often to warm up by digging in the sand. Jean took some pics of the boys with Mauao in the background for a painting we've commissioned her to do.
Pictures of contentment on their first day of summer break
Gonna be waiting a while for a wave
This morning, Ro and neighbor boy Troy were enlisted to pose for some professional pictures in our pool for The Anchorage's new brochure. The photographer got some really cute pics, but it required a good deal of patience on her part since the boys were more interested in actually playing in the water than posing. Mark could tell the girl was getting a little frustrated, until he suggested, "The only way I can get a decent picture of Ro is in burst mode."
I wanna see my picture!
Ro was having too much fun in the pool to leave, so Sherry brought down sandwiches for the boys, then went to get a pedicure at Robyn's. Mark and Ro stayed at the pool well into the afternoon; there were plenty of kids coming and going for Ro to play with, so Mark had a rare chance to relax. They finally called it a day when Ro's cheeks started getting rosy despite his sunscreen. Ro curled up on the couch watching Ben 10 DVD's while Mark caught up on the blog and Sherry cooked spaghetti for dinner.
